Mark Tearle has been the photographer for the Leacock Summer Literary Festival since 2005 and for Exile Editions since 2006. He has photographed numerous authors and musicians in on-site work and in performance and events. He works in colour digital as well as both colour and black and white film formats. "Using available light and minimal intervention his photographs document the unique convergence of the subject, the photographer and the moment."

His photographs appear in the current issue of Studio Journal and will be featured in the next issue of Exile, the Literary Quarterly. Past exhibitions include the Leacock Museum in Orillia (July-October, 2009), the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington (September, 2009) and the Contact Photographic Festival at Gate 403 (May, 2009). Photo shoots include: Miss Emily and the Blue Callers, The Scenics, the Paul Quarrington Tribute, Mark Paddison's 50th birthday party and Fire Hydrant.
